Authorities charge Buffalo man after drug bust

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has been charged in federal court after a home searched resulted in the seizure of large quantities of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and a stolen shotgun.

Federal prosecutors announced Friday that Delmar Washington, 49, was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.

According to the complaint, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a drug trafficking organization operating in Buffalo since November of 2025.
