The Sumner County Board of Education was set to discuss at its May 19, 2026, meeting the possibility of rezoning portions of Hendersonville and Bethpage in an effort to alleviate overcrowding at certain schools.
In a letter sent to parents, Superintendent Dr. Scott Langford noted the impact of Hendersonville’s road work along Stop 30 Road and Drakes Creek Road. If approved, officials estimated around 200 students would be impacted.
Neighborhoods that would be affected included Willow Park, Island Brook, Alexandrea Place, Crosspointe, Glenbrook Apartments, Monthaven Park Apartments, Monthaven Green and the Goshentown Road area…
