NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. — Firefighters responded to a field fire around 9:33 a.m. near Q Street and Watt Avenue, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
Officials said the fire burned about three acres. Metro Fire said crews arrived and surrounded the fire with hose lines to contain the blaze and protect nearby structures. Additional engines were requested to assist at the scene.
