The Maryland Attorney General’s Office has concluded that no criminal charges will be filed in a fatal police-involved crash that happened in Howard County earlier this year.
According to investigators, a Howard County police officer spotted a Honda speeding along Route 29 in Columbia at nearly 84 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone. Police say the officer activated emergency lights when the driver failed to stop, but called off the traffic stop seconds later due to safety concerns.
