LINCOLN PARK — At one point during the nearly three-year renovation of Beaumont’s, co-owner Paul Abu-Taleb stood in the basement and looked straight through the roof of the 135-year-old building.
In what Abu-Taleb described as one of the most intensive restaurant buildouts in recent Chicago memory, hundreds of workers helped gut and rebuild the landmarked former late-night bar at 2020 N. Halsted St.
Beaumont’s, which operated as a 4 a.m. bar in Lincoln Park for more than 40 years before closing in 2023, will reopen this month as a 200-seat tavern with an upstairs steakhouse called The Bull Moose from the team behind Pilsen Yards and The Alderman…
