HONOLULU (KHON2) — Officials celebrated the city’s largest affordable housing project to date on May 16. A grand opening was held in the morning at the new Makiki Banyan housing community, located on 1596 Pensacola Street.
“This project shows what can be achieved through strong public-private partnership, innovativehousing policy, and the support of the Honolulu City Council, the Blangiardi administration, andDPP’s prioritization of affordable housing,” Said Paul Lam of Lam Capital.
