HUDSON — After a $25 million renovation of an 1880s-era textile mill, Pocketbook Hudson opened last fall with the promise to be an “asset and amenity” for city residents.
But the boutique hotel’s rollout has been marked by neighborhood tensions over noise and parking, with dozens of residents petitioning city officials to address their concerns. The clash has played out at local government meetings and in urgent conversations on the streets surrounding the hotel and spa, where neighbors say they feel barraged by all the new activity on their formerly quiet block.
