2 arrested after alleged racial road-rage incident led to elderly man hospitalized, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Two men are in custody after a road rage incident left an elderly man hospitalized on Sunday.

Memphis Police responded to a disturbance at an AutoZone Auto Parts on South Third Street near East Belz Boulevard just before 3 p.m.

Two men, identified as Gary Martin and Marquel Porter, told officers they’d been involved in a road rage incident with the victim near Horn Lake Road.

Police said the men claimed the victim made a racial remark and followed them through an intersection before rear-ending their vehicle, then pulling alongside them and hitting their vehicle again…
