WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Drivers in Wilmington should expect temporary traffic changes and detours as city crews begin a speed hump installation project on Burnett Boulevard.
The City of Wilmington said crews will begin installing nine speed humps along Burnett Boulevard between Sunset Avenue and Virginia Avenue beginning Monday, May 18.
The project is expected to take about two weeks to complete. During construction, one block at a time will be fully closed to through traffic. Signs will be posted to alert drivers, and Carolina Beach Road will serve as the recommended detour route…
