Woman pepper-sprays employees during shoplifting incident in Delaware: Police

A woman has been charged after police said she pepper-sprayed two employees during a shoplifting incident at a Dollar Tree in Wilmington, Delaware.

According to Delaware State Police, on May 17, 2026, at around 10:30 a.m., troopers responded to the Dollar Tree, located at 2103 Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, after receiving a report of two employees who had been pepper-sprayed by a shoplifting suspect.
