LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Hickman woman is out $45,000 after she was tricked into believing she won an auto auction for a 2024 Lexus SUV.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said the scam began on May 5 when the 56-year-old victim thought she won the vehicle on AutoWheelers.com.
The victim told deputies that she had discovered the website on Facebook. She was given a VIN and communicated with the scammers via email and phone calls…
