BAXTER COUNTY, Arkansas — Two people initially facing a combined 273 charges related to the abuse of a child have now taken a plea deal in connection with crimes Arkansas lawmakers called “torture.”
Daniel Alan Wright and Jaclyn Machelle Barnett were each arrested in 2024 and charged with 112 counts of false imprisonment, one count of child endangerment, one count of permitting child abuse, and one count of kidnapping.
