38-year-old man arrested for firing a gun in SF Saturday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man was arrested for firing a handgun in Sioux Falls Saturday night.

Derrick Tucker Jr. 38, of Sioux Falls, was taken to jail for several charges including possession of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Authorities investigate shooting near Humboldt Saturday

Around 11 p.m. Saturday an officer in the area of 11th Street and Grange Avenue heard a single gunshot. Then, a short time later, Metro Communications received a call about a gunshot near Spring Avenue and 14th Street.

The officers who heard the initial gunshot went to the location where the call came in from and found a man and a woman walking away from the area. The officer tried to talk to them to see what was going on and both the man and the woman ran away from him…
