Marion, AR officer fired after review of employment history

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Marion, Arkansas, police officer was let go from the department after the city says he excluded his previous history at other law enforcement agencies, which included a controversial incident involving a teenager who died during a chase.

On May 12, Mayor Tracy Brick received a formal citizen request asking the city to review the hiring and continued employment of Officer Trey Bynum with the Marion Police Department.
