EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — As the weather warms and more visitors explore the Gila National Forest in Southern New Mexico, law enforcement officers are reporting an uptick in violations, including the use of motorized vehicles in undesignated areas, littering, and unlawful and unsafe target shooting. These rules and laws are in place for everyone’s safety and for the long-term management of our public lands, officials with the Gila National Forest.
