Convicted Stow armorer to pay another $1M for selling police bogus body armor

AKRON, Ohio— A judge on Tuesday ordered a convicted Stow businessman to pay $1 million for infringing on the U.S. government’s trademark on labels certifying bulletproof vests as government-tested.

Vall Iliev, 71, must pay the National Institute of Justice for forging those labels and selling cheap vests for about seven years to customers, including more than a dozen law enforcement agencies.
