MIOSHA confirms 2 workplace deaths over past week

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration has confirmed two workers have died on the job in separate incidents in the last week.

A roofer in Marshall died May 12 and a die setter in Howell died Monday after accidentally being pinned between two dies.

MIOSHA: Worker dies days after crash in Muskegon area

According to MIOSHA, the 26-year-old roofer was working on a garage on May 11, throwing shingles in a dumpster when he fell headfirst from the roof onto a concrete driveway. He died from his injuries the following day.
