SAN ANTONIO — A man has been charged with first-degree felony murder after calling 911 to confess that he shot his uncle a week earlier and hid the body in his backyard.
Aquiminee La Roy Crawford, 26, was arrested Monday after police officers discovered the remains of 52-year-old Derrick Cornell Crawford inside a recycling container at a residence on the 147 block of Sterling Street on the East Side.
Police dispatched to the home at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, following a 911 call from the defendant. They found a dead man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, wrapped in black plastic bags inside a backyard recycling bin. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene…
