(NEXSTAR) – Colorado is among the 28 states where Target is planning to expand, with three stores currently in the works, including one in Denver.
Across the country, Target plans to open more than 30 new stores this year, and it inched forward with several new locations welcoming their first customers this month.
The Minnesota-based retailer aims to have over 300 new stores by 2035, the company previously revealed. Target, which opened its 2,000th location in March, already claims to have a store within 10 miles of most U.S. doorsteps.
Another popular pantry item recalled over potential salmonella contamination
Six more stores opened on Sunday. Those Targets can be found in Buckeye and Casa Grande, Arizona; University City, Missouri; Myrtle Grove and Selma, North Carolina; and Jersey City, New Jersey.
New Target stores coming to Colorado
There are no official opening dates set for the three Target stores that are being built in Colorado.
Green Valley Ranch
A 150,000-square-foot Target is planned at the northwest corner of East 56th Avenue and Tower Road in Denver’s Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. It’s part of the Link 56 development being built southwest of Denver International Airport.
Firestone
Target is planning a 128,000-square-foot store in Firestone at the southwest corner of Jake Jabs Boulevard and City Centre Road, near The Home Depot and American Furniture Warehouse.
Monument
Monument will be getting a 128,000-square-foot Target at the recently announced Legacy at Jackson Landing retail development on Blevins Buckle Trail, near Interstate 25 and Baptist Road.
New stores across the US
