iHeartMedia has mode schedule changes in multiple markets following the exit of Kevin Rush from his roles that included serving as APD/afternoon host at Classic Hits 107.9 WSRZ Sarasota FL and co-hosting mornings at Hot AC “99.5 The River” WRVE Albany NY.
Rush was based in Albany from 2001 to 2019 serving as APD/afternoon host at WRVE from until 2010. He added morning show producer duties in 2006 and rose to morning co-host in 2010 and was paired with Tracy Villaume from 2018 to 2019 and again since the start of 2023. In 2019, Rush relocated to Sarasota where he took on the APD/afternoon host role at WSRZ. He also tracked multiple shifts across the country including nights at Classic Hits “Kool 108” KQQL Minneapolis and weekends at AC’s including WLIT Chicago and WNIC Detroit. Rush confirmed his departure on LinkedIn on Friday sharing that he is seeking a new position in broadcasting or communications in the Sarasota or Tampa area.
Villaume has moved to afternoons at WRVE in a part-time role replacing Bob Hauer. The move is timed with her return to television as Executive Producer of WTEN-TV’s upcoming “Upstate Living”. Prior to joining iHeart in 2015, Villaume was a producer at the television station. She wrote on LinkedIn, “After a lot of years, early alarms, coffee, laughs and incredible memories on mornings at 99.5 The River, I’m excited to share that beginning Monday, May 18, I’ll be moving from mornings to afternoons, joining you weekdays from 3–7pm.”…
