FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Just like yesterday, we are tracking another chance for severe weather this afternoon and evening. Unlike yesterday, these storms are not in a line we can watch the whole way. Pop up storms will continue across the area this evening, some of which can be severe. We will start to see temperatures cool down as a cold front crosses overnight.
With the crossing front temperatures will plummet back down into the 60s and stay there through the end of the week. We will slowly creep back up towards the 70s for the weekend, but that will also bring the return of rain showers after a few dry days through the middle of the week. Unfortunately, rain showers are expected for Carb Day on Friday down in Indy and more rain showers could also be on the way for the 500 Sunday afternoon.
