AUSTIN, Texas — The family of a teenage boy in the intensive care unit is asking for help as he recovers from the shooting spree in the Austin-area from over the weekend. Jonathan De La Garza, 16, is responsive but his family said each day is painful for him because of the injuries sustained.
It all happened Sunday afternoon at an apartment complex off Dionda Lane in Del Valle. Kaemoi Thomas received the shelter in place order like everyone else, but made his way to work anyways.
