Bob’s Discount Furniture will open its first Charlotte store on May 21 at 8215 University City Blvd. The chain, based in Manchester, Connecticut, plans to open three more spots in the area by winter 2027. It’s taking over a former Big Lots location.
The 35,115-square-foot store will bring jobs to about 20 workers. A second Charlotte area location at 9575 South Blvd. in Pineville is expected to open in mid-June.
Stores in Matthews and Hickory are planned for fall 2026 and winter 2027…
