SPENCER COUNTY, Ind (WEHT) – First responders from across multiple agencies cooraborated to save a person in crisis on the William H. Natcher Bridge Tuesday evening.
According to the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office, deputies along with officers with the Rockport Police Department and deputies from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office worked together to achieve the happy ending.
Officials state an individual was on the edge of the bridge, threatening to jump into the Ohio River, and through calm communication, compassion and teamwork, a Rockport Police officer was able to talk to the person and successfully get them to back away from the edge of the bridge…
