ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Jeneral Shelton, an eighth grader at Bird/Morgan School in East Rochester, is being honored for helping a school bus driver who was breaking up a fight.
Jeneral is among this year’s recipients of the Do the Right Thing awards. Last fall, he was on the school bus when a fight broke out. The driver was trying to break up the fight when Jeneral noticed that two students needed help. He stepped in by grabbing the driver’s phone and calling the dispatcher for assistance.
