On May 20, 2026, Michelin announced that 11 Los Angeles restaurants, as well as Southern California selections in San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Palm Springs, will join the California Michelin Guide. These new additions are in consideration for further recognition — including Michelin stars or a Bib Gourmand — at the 2026 Michelin ceremony, which will be held in San Diego on June 24.
This marks the second recent update to the California Michelin Guide: At the end of March, six Los Angeles restaurants and one in Montecito were added, including Little Fish Melrose Hill, Lapaba, and Lugya’h by Poncho’s Tlayudas.
New Los Angeles additions to the Michelin Guide include Miura, a Beverly Hills omakase restaurant from chef Derek Wilcox; Alto, a live-fire restaurant in Studio City drawing influence from Argentina and Uruguay; Casa Leo, a charming Los Feliz Spanish restaurant from Bazaar alum Joshua Whigham; Mar Vista California French bistro Electric Bleu; Kojima, Sawtelle’s celebrated eight-seat sushi counter from chef Hayato Kojima; Lielle, a California-informed tasting menu restaurant from Marcus Jernmark, one of Sweden’s most celebrated chefs; Joshua Skenes’ new Arts District pizza and cocktail destination Lynx; Sawtelle Korean American hotspot the Mulberry; flour tortilla and taco specialist Sonoratown; Downtown’s Sora Craft Kitchen, which serves Anatolian and Turkish dishes; and Rosemead’s modern dumpling destination, Good Alley…
