STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A delegation backing a controversial homeless shelter served as a ceremonial punching bag for Midland Beach residents Tuesday night.
Representatives from the Department of Social Services and service provider Homes for the Homeless addressed the crowd of a few dozen gathered at the Community Board 2 meeting in the I.S. 2 auditorium.
