Memorial Day Murph Challenge in Newark Honors Lt. Michael P. Murphy and the Spirit of Service and Sacrifice
As communities across Delaware pause to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, a Memorial Day tradition rooted in endurance, remembrance, and service will once again bring people together in Newark.
The 2026 Murph Challenge, hosted by the 302 Phalanx Foundation, will take place Monday, May 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Paper Mill Park in Newark. The annual event invites participants of all fitness levels to honor fallen members of the armed forces through a challenging workout inspired by Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy.
