IBERIA PARISH, LA. (KLFY) — Northside Road in New Iberia will be temporarily closed to through traffic effective immediately Monday, May 25 due to hazardous roadway conditions caused by recent rainfall, officials said.
Officials determined that the roadway may become impassable for through traffic within the active construction zone. The closure will extend approximately from the stop sign at the intersections of Belle Place Olivier Road through the entire length of the curve within the construction area.
Local access will be maintained for residents and homeowners located along the affected stretched of roadway; however, traffic will not be permitted. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes and use caution when traveling near the area…
