Shreveport man sentenced to 60 years as habitual offender in gun, stolen vehicle case

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – The following information was provided by the Caddo District Attorney’s Office:

On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, a Shreveport man convicted earlier this year of illegal possession of a firearm and unauthorized use of a stolen vehicle was sentenced as a habitual offender to 60 years in prison.

On Feb. 24, 2026, 30-year-old Jamaria Cornelious was found guilty of one count of felon in possession of a firearm and one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, stemming from an Oct. 8, 2024, incident at the Sonic in the 7100 block of Mansfield Road…
