Kitten with ‘the wobbles’ finds forever family after rescue

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A tiny kitten rescued from the bushes near Kawaiahaʻo Church is now thriving in a loving home, thanks to the efforts of the Hawaiian Humane Society and a dedicated foster volunteer.

Mr. Champion Wobblesworth’s story began in May 2025, when a good Samaritan found the kitten alone and trapped in foliage before bringing him to the Hawaiian Humane Society for help.

At the time, the kitten was only about the size of a pointer finger and weighed roughly 90 grams, requiring around-the-clock monitoring and hand feeding.

According to the Hawaiian Humane Society, multiple teams worked together to save the kitten’s life. The Pet Kōkua Resource Team at the Mōʻiliʻili campus first assessed his medical needs before the Foster Care team searched for someone who could care for the kitten at home.
