Trader Joe’s is gearing up for significant expansion, announcing plans to open 25 new stores across 14 states. This latest announcement adds to the grocery chain’s existing growth pipeline, signaling its continued commitment to broadening its presence nationwide.

On Wednesday, the California-based retailer revealed that nine additional locations are now in development. This brings the total number of upcoming Trader Joe’s stores to more than two dozen, with all sites selected though official opening dates have yet to be finalized.

“We are proud to be joining the neighborhood and to continue our commitment to providing nourishment to the surrounding communities through our Neighborhood Shares program,” the company stated.

The new stores will be spread across eight states including Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Ohio, and Utah. The nine locations currently in the works are:

  • Arizona: Phoenix (21001 North Tatum Boulevard, Suite 1030)
  • Florida: Sarasota (8199 S Tamiami Trail, Unit 100)
  • Illinois: Chicago (804 West Montrose Ave.)
  • Massachusetts: Quincy (111 General McConville Way)
  • Michigan: Farmington Hills (27658 Middlebelt Rd.)
  • New York: Syracuse (3515 West Genesee St.)
  • New York: Yonkers (2482 Central Park Ave.)
  • Ohio: University Heights (2643 Warrensville Center Rd.)
  • Utah: West Jordan (5561 W 7800 S.)

These nine join a previously announced roster of 16 locations, which include planned stores in states such as California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Utah, and Washington. Some notable addresses from that list include Anaheim Hills and Paso Robles in California, Orlando and West Palm Beach in Florida, and Seattle and Spokane Valley in Washington.

While details regarding store size, parking, and specific product offerings remain under wraps, the company continues to steadily grow its footprint. Earlier this year, Trader Joe’s opened four new stores in Hamden, Connecticut; Miller Place, New York; McKinney, Texas; and Woodinville, Washington.

Currently, Trader Joe’s operates in 42 states plus the District of Columbia. The grocery chain is still absent from Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Known for its unique private-label products, competitive prices, and friendly shopping atmosphere, Trader Joe’s expansion reflects its ongoing popularity and strategic growth across the country.
