Commission delays resolution allocating $18 million to Shelby County Sheriff’s Office

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County Board of Commissioners delayed voting on a resolution to reallocate a little more than $18 million to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

During the Monday, May 18, meeting, commissioners voted to defer discussion on a resolution to reallocate $18,015,000 from the county’s unassigned fund balance to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
