Final group of Operation Inherent Resolve Iowan soldiers back in U.S.

DES MOINES, Iowa – 200 Iowa National Guard soldiers returned to the United States on Wednesday, touching down at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.

The soldiers, assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team 34th Infantry Division, have spent nearly a year deployed overseas in Iraq and Syria as part of Operation Inherent Resolve, supporting efforts to fight ISIS.
