CAHOKIA HEIGHTS, Ill. – A local teachers union is accusing its school district of corruption amid ongoing contract negotiations. And now, the Cahokia Federation of Teachers says it has the documentation to back up those allegations.
The group held a rally Wednesday at its union office in Fairview Heights to call attention to their concerns. They accuse top district officials of being paid well beyond their listed salaries for work they did not do. They also accuse the district of trying to conceal records from the public.
