Louisville is asking its residents to limit outdoor watering to twice a week, joining neighboring communities in pushing voluntary water restrictions amid drought conditions around the state.
Residents are encouraged to limit irrigation to two days per week, between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m., and to hand water gardens, shrubs and trees on the same schedule. The city suggests “promptly” repairing leaking sprinkler systems, and using buckets or a hose nozzle with a shut-off valve if washing cars, a Tuesday announcement said.
