Driver left with life-threatening injuries after crashing into pole in east Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A driver was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after they crashed into a power pole Wednesday night.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, near North Lamb Boulevard and East Washington Avenue.

Police said evidence at the scene showed that a red Jeep Grand Cherokee was driving north on Lamb, just north of Washington.

Metro said that for unknown reasons, the driver, a 47-year-old man, failed to maintain his travel lane and veered off of the roadway to the right, hitting the curb and then a power utility pole…
