Asheville man charged with multiple felony drug trafficking offenses: police

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — An Asheville man has been arrested and charged with multiple felony drug trafficking charges following what the Asheville Police Department describes as a proactive crime prevention.

According to a news release, Jacob Lee Beasley, 36, was arrested on May 21 at 1:31 a.m. at the Astion Park Garden Apartments.

Beasley is charged with the following:

  • Felony trafficking Schedule I (fentanyl)
  • Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver Schedule I (fentanyl)
  • Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver Schedule I (hallucinogenic mushrooms)
  • Felony possession with Intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver Schedule I (MDMA)
  • Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver Schedule I (LSD)
  • Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver Schedule II (methamphetamine)
  • Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a Schedule Controlled Substance within 1000 ft of a school
  • Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a Schedule Controlled Substance within 1000 ft of a park
  • Felony in maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substance
  • Felony possession of a firearm by a felon
  • Misdemeanor simple possession of Schedule VI
  • Misdemeanor drug paraphernalia

Beasley has been booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under no bond…
