PARKVILLE, MD—After three years of operating a popular Baltimore County barbecue food truck, a local pitmaster is preparing to transition his mobile business into a permanent storefront this summer.
Towson native Dyson Adams announced he plans to open Slicen Dyson, his first brick-and-mortar restaurant, on June 5, according to The Baltimore Sun. The new eatery will be located at 1946 East Joppa Road in Parkville (21234).
The culinary venture represents a deeply personal journey for Adams, who turned to barbecuing and nutrition as a healing remedy following a severe childhood head and neck injury.
