Just over 12 years ago, the nonprofit organization Warriors to Washington embarked on its first trip to the nation’s capital, launching a mission dedicated to honoring local veterans.
The organization recognizes veterans from the Erie region who were deployed in response to the September 11 attacks by providing them with an opportunity to visit historic and national landmarks in Washington, D.C. The experience serves as both a tribute to their service and a chance for reflection, connection, and camaraderie among fellow veterans.
