Guns accessible to kids found in road rage suspect’s Menlo Park home: PD

(KRON) — A road rage incident at a Redwood City Costco parking lot sparked an investigation that led to detectives discovering firearms in the reach of children at the suspect’s home, police said Thursday.

The suspect, identified as Jason Howk Chin, 43, of Menlo Park, got into a confrontation with the victim on Feb. 11 outside the Costco at 2300 Middlefield Rd., the Redwood City Police Department said. Chin allegedly approached the victim and revealed a gun that was tucked into his waistband before making a threatening statement.

“Officers attempted to contact Chin on the night of the incident, but he declined to speak with investigators,” RCPD wrote.
