Convicted felon arrested on burglary charges in Gainesville after attempting to flee scene

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A convicted Florida felon is now accused of breaking into a home a stealing around $6,000 worth of cash, gold jewelry, and a firearm.

On Monday, Alachua County deputies were called out to a home on reports of a burglary and arrived on the scene to find the victim’s roll-up garage door pried open and broken windows.

Deputies say they saw on security footage a suspicious vehicle registered for Mikale Fuye, 20, in the area. He had been previously convicted on charges related to possessing and recklessly firing a firearm…
