AUSTIN, Texas — One person died and another was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition Thursday following a vehicle rescue in east Austin near the intersection of FM 969 and Imperial Drive, Austin-Travis County EMS said.
Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the scene alongside the Austin Fire Department and STAR Flight. Medics attempted life-saving efforts, but the patient was ultimately pronounced deceased.
