ST. LOUIS – A 19-year-old Hillsdale man faces up to 15 years in federal prison for possessing a gun modified with a sear switch.
Federal prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Juanell Carter, 19, appeared in court Thursday and pleaded guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Carter has multiple felony convictions in his past and is thus barred from owning or possessing a gun.
