9/11 memorial installation unveiled at Alameda County Fair

PLEASANTON, Calif. (KRON) — The Alameda County Fair held a closed 9/11 memorial ceremony Thursday at the fairgrounds in Pleasanton, honoring the lives lost during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York City.

Three helicopters touched down at the fairgrounds as the ceremony got underway, followed by a large procession of police officers and first responders. Fairgrounds’ staff members, first responders, and local officials gathered as the national anthem was sung to honor those killed in the attacks.
