LANSING, MI — The premiere Mid-Michigan Latino festival, ‘Cristo Rey Fiesta,’ is back this weekend, starting today at 4 p.m. This is the 47th year that this celebration has been happening, 48th if you count their drive-through COVID-19 year.
Cristo Rey Church aims to hold this fiesta to celebrate the parish and to connect with the greater Lansing community, embracing faith, language, and culture. The three-day festival features live music, dancing, and lots of homemade, authentic food.
On their festival grounds, there will also be a marketplace full of vendors, with some coming from as far as Chicago, says Guillermo Z. Lopez, the Chair of the Fiesta committee.
