Armed home invasion suspect shot dead by Pinellas County deputies

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — An armed home invasion suspect was fatally shot by Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Friday.

Deputies were called to a home on Candler Road in unincorporated Clearwater at 6:44 a.m.

According to Clearwater Police Chief Eric Police Chief Eric Gandy, a woman who was home alone reported that an unknown man entered her home with a knife.
