- Influencer Alix Earle admits to ‘going too far’ when it comes to relationships with older men (themirror.com)
Alix Earle is taking a fresh look at her dating life and is candidly sharing what’s worked-and what hasn’t.
On a recent episode of the YouTube show Get Real with Me, Earle, 25, joined TikToker Quenlin Blackwell for an open conversation about her romantic experiences. Earle revealed that dating men her own age didn’t quite feel right for her.
The discussion kicked off after Blackwell recounted a story about an ex, noting, “As you age, you realize people aren’t supposed to act like that.” Earle quickly inquired if the ex was older, to which Blackwell replied, “I don’t date guys my age.”
Earle nodded in agreement, sharing her own experience: “I went on a date with a guy who was a year older than me. I can’t do it again.
That’s never happening.”
When Blackwell asked if she felt like she was “mothering” the younger men, Earle didn’t hold back. “It didn’t feel like I was with like a man. I want someone to take care of me,” she admitted.
However, Earle also joked about swinging too far in the opposite direction, dating men much older than her, quipping, “Sometimes I’ve gone too far the other end, and I’m like ‘Grandpa!’”
These reflections come as Earle moves forward following her breakup with NFL player Braxton Berrios, 30. The couple ended their relationship in December after over two years together. Earle previously shared a heartfelt TikTok explaining that their split was due to timing and priorities, as she balanced filming Dancing with the Stars and he managed his football career.
Since then, Earle has been transparent with fans about returning to the dating scene. In April, she posted about her first date post-breakup, admitting the experience was less than smooth. While careful not to criticize, she recounted awkward moments, including being unexpectedly asked if she had an OnlyFans account.
Although the breakup was difficult, Earle and Berrios have had a few chance encounters since. They briefly spoke at a music festival in Aspen in February, a moment Earle described as “terrible” since he went from “best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room.” They were also seen interacting at a Miami event in April, marking their first public conversation since the split.
In the aftermath, Earle was linked to former NFL star Tom Brady, 48, after they were spotted together at a New Year’s Eve party in St. Barths and again during Super Bowl weekend in San Francisco. While neither addressed the rumors, insiders suggested the two were casually seeing each other.
As Alix Earle continues to navigate the complexities of dating, she remains refreshingly open about her experiences and evolving preferences.
