» Jury Delivers Guilty Verdict for Southwest Baltimore Murder

A jury reached a verdict in the murder trial of Anthony “Troy” Ross, 26, before Judge Jeannie J. Hong on May 14.

Ross was found guilty of first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime, and having a handgun on his person. A verdict was not rendered on the charge of second-degree murder.

Ross was convicted of the death of 23-year-old Lavar Steeles, who was shot multiple times just after midnight on June 13, 2025 on the 1500 block of W. Fayette Street.
