Flood watch issued for Tri-State as up to 3″ of rain soaks region; wet holiday weekend

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A soaking rain moves into the Tri-State on Friday, setting up a wet, gray afternoon and raising concerns about flooding through early Saturday.

A Flood Watch is in effect for much of the Tri-State until 5 a.m. Saturday, with as much as 3 inches of rain possible. The gloomy, rain-cooled air will keep temperatures down, with highs only in the upper 60s — nearly 10 degrees below average.

The system driving the rain is a warm front, and that shift will bring a milder feel for the rest of the holiday weekend. Highs are expected to climb into the upper 70s, but humidity will build between rounds of rain and storms…
